3-4 slices sourdough slices (depending on how big the loaf is)
4 ounces goat cheese
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
¼ cup honey
3 tablespoons finely chopped hazelnuts, toasted
½ teaspoon thyme leaves
1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
Flaky salt, for topping (optional)
Instructions
In a saute pan, melt butter (if a small pan fitting only 1 piece of toast, do this in batches) over medium heat. Add toast, cooking until golden brown on both sides, about 1-2 minutes per side.
In a mixing bowl, add goat cheese and cream cheese. Beat together until well combined. Add whipping cream, beating until mixture is a smooth whipped consistency.
In a small bowl, stir together honey, hazelnuts, and thyme leaves.
Pipe or spoon goat cheese mixture onto your prepared toast. Top with pear slices, then drizzle honey mixture on top. Sprinkle with a flaky salt, if desired.
